The extended ridge and its marine headlands offer excellent potential for park and recreational lands. The open coastal lands and their preservation maintain the quality and character of the region. Highlighting this juncture of tourism and industry, the headland park creates appropriate open space, environmental quality and recreation for both the local citizenry as well as the visiting tourist.
